The Social Committee was delighted with “Carols in the Barn”, kindly hosted by Mr and Mrs J Beavan, when over 70 members and friends gathered round to sing in the festive period.
Led by Milly Morgan, the Committee wanted to put on a treat for members and their friends after such a socially-distanced time. With reindeer present, the service was opened by Reverend Julia Curtis. Two of our younger members, Molly Bemand and Annabelle Davies both read a reading from the Bible (well done girls you read beautifully!). Tenbury Town Band played carols as all present filled their lungs, singing 7 carols in all, nicely rounded off with a roaring rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas.
Gathered around the fire pit; delicious tray bakes, Christmassy cookies, mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate were enjoyed by all before we headed home.
Well done to all involved in organising this event – a fabulous success – and thank you to all of you who came and took part.
