I farm with my wife Carole on my parent’s farm in Rochford. We farm crops, commercial beef cattle and rear ewe lambs for selling to local sheep farmers.
My first recollection of Tenbury Show was the mile foot race in the main ring – it seemed a long way then and definitely would be now! I then moved onto showing Dairy cattle in the livestock classes and became very involved with Tenbury YFC who always had a stand at the Show.
In 2008 I was asked to start the Countryside Ring which has now become one of the hugely popular attractions at the Show. Through my YFC connections I was able to secure the National YFC tug of war finals to come to Tenbury Show.
I followed my friend David Hodges as Chairman of the Show in 2014 through to 2016, and in 2018 I was asked be a Director of the Society. It is a great honour and privilege to be a part of the Society and I encourage anyone to become involved in any way they can.
