Carole Powell – Vice Chairperson

Hi, I’m Carole Powell, farmer’s wife over 20 years to Martin and farmer’s daughter of Brian & Marg from Martley.

I spent my youth in Martley Young Farmers, taking part in many competitions from Floristry, public speaking to Stock-judging.  Whilst in Young Farmers I also took on many roles within club and was elected 1998/99 County Chairman of the Worcestershire Federation.

I’ve been involved with Tenbury Agricultural Society for 17 years, firstly being introduced to the Horticultural Committee, and then moved across to the Farm Competition Committee where I have been Secretary for the past 9 years, organising the crops and livestock competitions each year and various fundraising events.

February 2020, I was extremely honoured to be elected as the first female Vice Chairperson for Tenbury Agricultural Society.  I am enjoying learning the ropes of Chairmanship and look forward to the 2022 Show.
